This past week I was caring for an 81 yr woman who had suffered a massive CVA and was completely non verbal and unresponsive. Her husband, who had been with her since the
1st grade ( it was their 54th anniversary), was camped out in the room with her(the beds were pushed together). The family, which included multiple Dr.s, nurses, medical auxillary and a PA, also stayed in the room from morning till night. There were many opinions flying about regarding how much care she should receive (not all in agreement).
They all got to watch me practice my nursing skills while taking care of their matriarch.
No Stress There!!!!
Fortunately they were all very nice and encouraging.
