Mid term and changes

Well, we have reached midterm. N4 and N5 students now change places. I have had a great time in N5, but I am looking forward to new things now in N4. Those of you who have just finished N4 are in for a real experience now as you head into the mental health facilities and meet the people the book talks about. You may be nervous at the prospect of talking to someone with a mental illness, don't be, they are just people. You will be amazed occasionally at the similarities between them and you. You will learn a lot from them if you give them a chance, but it has to be on their terms so don't rush and don't push; it will happen. Hope all of you have done well, we need to get together sometime, I miss you all. Please post and let us know, both N4 and N5, how you saw the first half of the semester. Inquiring minds want to know.

We found out today that lecture is for the NCLEX and clinical is for learning nursing. Test world and real world, and only a little overlap.

I was actually able to see a lot of what was being taught in theory, in clinical. I pictured what was going on with my patients during the test which helped with the visualization. Usually though, by the time I figured out what was going on and waiting for the light to go on in my head, the test had already passed me by.
