N7 Study Groups

So far there is a study group on Mondays from 0900 to 1030. Our first official meeting (of the minds) will be in the Locke lounge next to Java Jitters. We can talk about other meeting options at that time.

Also, Caralee will be having her study session on Tuesdays following lecture from 1130 to 1230. Meeting place is to be announced.

I am going to see if Caralee would be nice enough to also set a second study session time on Mondays or later on the same Tuesday for those of us who will be in the EKG class.
Meantime, you can download and print out a bunch of her stuff from the nursing 101 site on docushare.
http://docushare.deltacollege.edu/dscgi/ds.py/View/Collection-4757
For those who want to review N4 stuff, Fernisa's study sessions will be on Tuesdays also from 1100 to 1200.

If you know of any more study groups, please post.

Close Enough to School?

There is a 1st semester nursing student who has a room(s) or house (4 bd, 2.5 bath) for rent within 5 minutes of the school. If you are interested or know of anyone else who is looking to get closer to school, let them know.
Her name is
Vicky Nieva
C (925) 642-9740
If the name sounds familiar it's because she was originally in our 1st semester classes.

Work Ethics

Just a bit of humor before we take the big plunge into N7. I have seen this kind of mentality around my workplace, have you?

Check your grades for accuracy

hope you're enjoying your holidays...
i don't know how to create a new posting...could you please do it for me...I wanted to remind everyone to check their grades...I just happen to check mine and my Nursing 5 posted grade is wrong; may not only be me whose grades were posted incorrectly. I emailed Mrs. Ippolito and cc'd Julie Lang to have them correct it. I tried to go back to the final grade scores in Karen's website but the link is no longer there. So whoever happened to save a copy in their computers, can try to post that here.
Thanks and Merry Christmas,
Jojie

We have passed the test

We have been reviewed by Blog Spot and deemed NOT a spam blog. We all knew this, and now they do to. This means that you will not have to use the squiggly letters to post any more. So post lots!!!

From Mrs. Antaran-in student email

Dear N 7 Students:

Because the spring semester begins on a day that is typically a clinical
day, the schedule for the first week of the course is being modified.

Instead of going to clinical on January 13, please report to Locke 118
at 7 a.m. for a 3-hour lecture. On January the 18th which would
typically be a lecture day, you will be attending clinical. The details
will be presented on the 13th.

Thank you.

Virginia Antaran

We are being checked out

We have been marked as a possible spam blog (splog) by an automated system. If you have been having to type in wobbly letters before you post, this is why. I have asked them to check us out to verify that we are not spamming or whatever. This is probably because we post with a lot of links.

N7 tips

I talked to some N7 students. I was told that the lectures are based on the syllabus. So if you want to study, base it on that. Check out the practice tests. I will be posting for N6 and N7. I will also put them into the test bank. This is a good time to review past subjects and tests. The Nursing program is starting a NCLEX review class in January. Hpoefully it will have all of the bugs worked out of it by the time that we are ready.

Have A Great and Restful Break!!!!!!!!!!!

Message for N7 students

I met Mrs. Antaran today. She said to keep an eye on your student email. She will be sending us all one about the first day of school. It will not be a clinical day, it will be at the school. As soon as she knows the room number she will email all of us. I am looking forward to the class, but I am also looking forward to this break. Hope you all have Happy Holidays and a restful break.

ADN full time student?

Hi everyone! I'm so glad we made it through this semester!! I just had a question regarding my insurance. I thought ADN students were considered full time when enrolled in at least 9 units..... is that correct? Even the people in the nursing office don't know for sure. I just need proof that I am a full time student but I don't know where to get that information...... well, I'll see you all either tomorrow or next semester!
